Twisted Conveyors

Gronemeyer has commissioned a conveying system that is used to lay down products in continuous operation. The products are bags of different sizes. The bags are filled with bulk material. The difficulty was that the products have no defined shape and no clear center of gravity.

The task was solved by arranging two conveyors at right angles to each other. These conveyors are rotated by 90° over a length of 3m. In this way, the products are laid down gently and in a defined manner.

The construction makes it possible to transport and turn products of different sizes at the same time. No set-up costs are incurred when operating this conveying system.

The internal test runs showed that the reversal function is also given. The horizontal bags stood securely on our conveying system after uprighting.
